Sometimes, we forget about the One who gave His life on Calvary.
God's Son who died a painful death so we could all be free.
In this day of knowledge and temptations we are living in,
So many, many things can take our mind away from Him.

Don’t forget about the cross He carried up that lonely hill.
And don’t forget those stripes He bore so we could all be healed.
Remember the last words Jesus spoke before He died for me and you,
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

Don’t forget about the way He lived while He was here on earth.
And don’t forget those words He spoke about the second birth.
When Jesus comes to live in you, your life will then begin anew,
'Cause His sweet Holy Spirit will teach you what to do.

Don’t forget that Jesus loves you more than any others do.
He came to earth to live and die to prove His love is true.
No one else can promise you will live for all eternity,
With the Son who gave His life for you if you will just believe.

Don’t forget about the Savior, when you need a dearest friend.
He’s waiting right beside you, won’t you invite Him in.
Many years ago He opened Heaven’s door for you and me.
Don’t forget He paid the price one day on Calvary.
