If I could live my life over, I would eat very little sweets,
And my mainstay would be fresh fruits and greens.
My favorite drink would be sugarless tea,
And most of my protein would come from beans.

I'd go for long walks almost every day
And stop and smell the roses along the way.
I would never have worn high-heeled shoes,
And, instead of observing
the latest styles in women's clothing,
I would wear whatever I choose.

If I could live my life over,
I would have been more outgoing and optimistic.
I never would have stayed home and sang the blues.
Instead of waiting for someone to call me,
I would be the first to make a move.
I've learned that, to have friends,
you have to reach out,
And not just sit at home all alone and doubt.

Those are some of the things I would do
If I could choose to live my life over.
And, if, from the beginning,
I had known Jesus as my Saviour.
For these are just some of the things I've learned
since knowing Him.
Without Him and the wisdom He gives me,
I would have made the same mistakes over and over.
